How many steps from the complex to the beach? The complex is on the beach.

Is the sand really white? and the sea really turquoise? Yes! Anna Maria is a tropical barrier island, these island types have powdery, white sand and turquoise calm waters, tropical vegetation.

What do you mean by partial gulf views ? Our condo has a side view of the beach from the lanai and from the master bedroom balcony. You can also see the sea from the kitchen, dining and living areas.

Where exactly is Anna Maria Island? A.M.I is the first of a set of barrier islands south of Tampa Bay in the Gulf of Mexico on the West coast of Florida (see photos). South of A.M.I. are Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Lido Key. Further south are Sanibel and Marco Islands. A.M.I. has retained a laid-back relaxed island living style and the inhabitants are dedicated to protecting the local wildlife.

What is the best form of transportation? The island trolley. Click on the bus for information.

Can I bring my skateboard or rollerblades? Although you may not use these at Sunplaza, a new skatepark has opened on the island.

What about fishing? Great fishing! There is a fishing pier at Manatee Beach just a few minutes south of Holmes Beach.

Can more than 6 people stay? No the condo rules are strict.

Do I have to share the queen sleep sofa in the living room? No, we have an extra rollaway bed. But remember no more than 6!

If I cannot smoke in the condo, where can I smoke? You can smoke on the grounds and by the pool.

Are restaurants closeby? A.M.I has many restaurants varying in style and size.

How close are restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy? On the island -by trolley 3-5 minutes.

How far is it from the airport? The island is 20 mins from Sarasota-Bradenton Airport, 1 hr from Tampa Airport, 2.5 hrs from Orlando Airport.

Will I be able to go to Disney on a day trip? Yes, many visitors do just that. It is about 1hr 15 mins to Busch Gardens- Tampa, and, 2.5 hours to Disney- Orlando.
